Dodgeball: The Quest for Food game Review
Run fat boy run. Why is it that half of the American movie, television and game culture build their entire story line around the premise of a fat boy running after food? Because it’s hilarious. We all love watching it, but how would you feel if you were in that situation? I know what your thinking, “hold on Dr. Phil”. Well luckily you don’t have to be publicly embarrassed to see what it’s like, you can do it on the private screen of your BlackBerry!
Dodgeball: The Quest for Food sounds like the title of Jack Black’s big movie, but in reality it’s a new fun game for BlackBerrys everywhere. You are a fat guy who’s apparently hungry. Unfortunately, the only place to grab some food is in the middle of an intense dodgeball game! So you pilot your little guy around the square aiming for the food that appears. Sounds easy, but when there’s dogeballs being hurled from every direction it gets a little harder.
The more food you eat the more points you get. You also score higher depending on the ball speed. As your score gets higher the ball speed will too. You can keep track of your high score in the bottom left corner so you’ll always know what to strive for. For some reason, you’re guy is going after vegetables, but kudos to him for trying to lose weight.
The graphics for this game wouldn’t be categorized as excellent, but I don’t think they’re supposed to be. They’re simple enough to make the game fun by not distracting. The game play couldn’t be simpler, you just have four buttons to run left, right, up, or down.
If you’re someone who worships state-of-the-art, high-graphics games then this game isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for a game to pass some time and have some fun then definitely check it out. For the price of just $.99 I would say it’s worth it.
