Ok so most likely the issue was that there was dust or something like that under the ball. Usually if it is taken out and swabbed with alcohol ( just like an old ball mouse ) it works fine. However for you to do that voids your warranty. As stated by contract you would be sent a warranty if an issue occurs with your device after your 30 day exchange period. Obviously all devices of warranty cannot be kept in stock in the stores and pdas and blackberrys don't have the highest error rate its the basic phones so brilliant manuver let's keep the basic phones in stock. Also there is special traning on that device that is given to technicians at all corp stores there is one. Are you sure you were at a corp. store ? Otherwise they have no replacement stock at all ? Due to the fact that they are merely auth retailers and not verizon employee. And as for the 3 days heaven forbid we have to ship our products. Yes it does take 2 days to get to you and I imagine that it was later in the afternoon when this happened so it wasn't processed till the next day since after last batch shipped. I understand your cell being the only lifeline. So my suggestion is to go to a corp. Store next time. ( A store that is solely vzw ) where they have a loaner phpone program to get you through till you receive the replacement. Yay!
