Relaxus App Review: Soothing Sounds for BlackBerry

relaxus1Today’s hectic world is filled with rushing traffic, business meetings, screaming kids, and all types of personal problems. And we all feel like we constantly just need to get away. The only problem is not all of us can hop on our private jet and head to the Bahamas for a few days. However, some of us have found other soothing ways to clear our minds. A great, cheap way to kick back and relax is by listening to some calming sounds. Check out the Relaxus app for BlackBerry to listen to an array of soothing sounds.

Relaxus, by iMobLife, is an app that contains a vast array of sounds sure to sooth a troubled mind. When you first start the app, you’ll be prompted to select your soothing sound from a list and categories. The app boast seven mesmerizing categories which include: A stroll along the creek, Sunny beach, a nap in the garden, east meditation, Buddha eyes, meditation one, meditation two, and meditation three. The first three categories are sounds of nature. The last four are specifically designed to enhance mental activity, reach the brainwaves, or just provide a soothing melody. All of the sounds in this app are professionally recorded resulting in crisp, clear sound quality.

relaxus2Once you’ve selected your sound, you’ll need to set the playback time. Set the time, in minutes, of how long you want the sound to play. This is a great feature if you’re using the sound to put you to sleep. You can also choose to play an animation along with the sound. The animations are those funky images in which colors dance along with the music.

All in all this was an extremely user friendly, well done app that did exactly what it set out to do. I was personally impressed by the wide array and uniqueness of the sounds offered. For the price of $5.99 it is a little pricey. But keep in mind, compared to a yoga class, this is a steal!
