Ready, set, spell! Most word games are boring and monotonous. Or they lack action and put you to sleep. Well not anymore. BlackBerry has a new game that will get you out of your seat and into the intense world of forming words. Okay well it might not be the great action game of the century, but it will keep you entertained and addicted.
Word Streams from Funkzilla Mobile is a fast paced word game that is surprisingly fun. The goal of the game is to make as many words as possible using the letters that scroll by. Well it may sound easy, it’s not! Four rows of scrolling letters bring up the difficulty level a notch. You have to target each letter and spell a word out. You’re also timed! You earn extra time with every word you spell. The ultimate goal is get the high score. The game claims to have a data base of 45,000 words. However, I did find myself getting frustrated when it didn’t know some more advanced words that I should’ve scored major points for.
A major fault of the games makers is the appearance of the game. In my opinion its border line ugly. The letters have a faded effect and the background is a bland black. I can’t tell what they were going for exactly, but it could’ve been a lot more attractive.
The game play takes a little while to get used to but most anyone can figure it out. It downloads in seconds and comes with a small price tag of only $.99. I found it addicting, but after a while it does get boring. It’s a good game to turn to if you’re looking to pass time at the airport or on the bus.
